Voting for Billboard Japan Top Pop Artist 2013

sakanaction has been nominated for Billboard JAPAN's Top Pop Artist 2013 award!

There are a total of 83 artists nominated, and the winner is awarded based on votes. The full list can be seen here, and among the list there are many idols like Johnnys boybands and the AKB48 groups. This means that the odds are pretty low that sakanaction will actually take home the award, but it still means that they have enough mainstream recognition. 

Even though they might not win, we can always give voting a shot. At the very least it might show Billboard Japan that they deserved that nomination and be considered again next year. So here I've written out the instructions on how to vote. 

Before you go ahead with this, please note that Billboard Japan says the voting is limited to Japan and one vote per person only. I have no idea how or if they really enforce the country restriction, and I cannot guarantee that your vote will be counted. However, since the whole thing will take just 5 minutes, there's no harm trying your luck.

Steps to vote

1. Open the voting link.

2. Fill in the form. Click on the pictures below if you need to enlarge to see the translation.

Note: For the email address, I used a Yahoo Japan email address since it has a ".jp", just in case that's how they check. It's not necessary if you don't own such an email since this still doesn't guarantee anything.

3. Click the proceed to the next page button, and you'll be brought to the voting page. The very first category is the one to vote for sakanaction.

For the other categories, either vote as you like or just select any one if you don't have anyone to vote for.

4. Click the button at the bottom of the voting page to go to the confirmation page. At the confirmation page, check your vote a final time. Then hit the submit button.

5. You should see this if the form was submitted successfully.
