Boku to Hana Chart Performance

First week rank and sales on Oricon Weekly Chart

Congratulations to Sakanaction for a good first week in sales for their latest single, Boku to Hana!

There wasn't any television performances this time round, whereas for Bach, there was a Music Station performance which helped to boost sales. However, Boku to Hana is the first time Sakanaction did a tie-up with a drama series, which most certainly gave more exposure to the band. But since Sakanaction's popularity was already on the rise, it's difficult to tell how much influence the drama had.

From the chart, it can be seen that Boku to Hana has the best first week sales yet, though it remains to be seen how consistent its sales will be. Aruku Around is still the best-selling single overall with over 27,000 reported sales.

Besides physical copies, Sakanaction also had its latest single released through iTunes Japan.

The song Boku to Hana itself was released not once, but twice. The first was the digital pre-release that was available on iTunes, a few days before the physical CD came out. This came with a blue-tinted cover artwork.

Then, on the day the physical CD was released, the whole single was put up on iTunes, including Boku to Hana again, with the regular cover artwork. Thus this made it possible for Boku to Hana to rank twice on the same chart.
